A double-glazed window occupies most of the window area and the thermal insulation, sun protection, safety, sound insulation and aesthetics of your home depend on it. The greatest heat loss from the room occurs through double-glazed windows, if they are not correctly selected. For our climatic zone, the thermal conductivity of the constructions must be at least 1.1 W / m2K.
To protect against burglary, there is a special anti-burglar hardware, which is an excellent guard and a significant obstacle in the way of intruders. But if there is ordinary glass in the window or door, then it can be easily knocked out or cut out. Therefore, for real protection, it is recommended to insert shockproof glasses into double-glazed windows. This is either triplex glass or special tempered glass.Shockproof glass units
To enhance sound insulation in a double-glazed window, spacer frames of different widths should be used. Indicators for sound insulation of glass units depend not only on the number of glasses in the glass units, but also on their thickness. You can enhance sound insulation by using glass with a thickness of 6, 8 or 10 mm in the glass unit.Sound insulating glass units
A two-chamber double-glazed unit retains the microclimate in a room much better than a single-chamber one. In addition, this glass unit has the best acoustic performance. Installation is recommended in residential buildings, office premises with average requirements for heat and sound insulation.Double-glazed window (three glasses)
We recommend installing in offices and industrial premises where high heat and sound insulation is not required. It is not recommended to use single-chamber double-glazed windows in residential premises, as they do not sufficiently protect against cold. Large double-glazed windows (48mm) retain heat even better than thinner double-glazed windows.Single-chamber double-glazed window (two glasses)
